Welcome to AGMP 2016 in Tromsø
a conference in honor of Arnfinn Laudal on his 80’th birthday
The conference will take place at the University of Tromsø (Norway), 30th June and 1st July 2016. The conference will consist of 4 invited lectures and contributed presentations. All talks will be plenary. The official language of the conference is English.
The conference will cover, but is not limited to, the main themes:
Algebra, Geometry, dynamical symmetries and conservation laws, mathematical physics and applications.
This in particular includes the themes: Deformation theory and quantization, Hom-algebras and n-ary algebraic structures, Hopf algebra, integrable systems and related mathematical structures, jet theory and Weil bundles, Lie theory and applications, noncommutative geometry, Lie algebras, and more.
The conference will focus on the interplay between research in contemporary mathematics and physics concerned with generalizations of the main structures of Lie theory aimed at quantization and discrete and noncommutative extensions of differential calculus and geometry, non-associative structures, actions of groups and semi-groups, noncommutative dynamics, non-commutative geometry and applications in physics and beyond.
The conference is aimed for a broad audience of researchers and advanced students.
This conference is thematically related to:
- Quantum Algebras, Quantum Integrable Models and Quantum Information (QQQ2016) which will be held in Kristineberg on the magnificent west coast of Sweden, July 11-15.
- Géométrie Algébrique noncommutative: les différentes facettes « physiques », which be held in Angers (France), July 11-13.
