Nordic CO2 Collaborations
Today the CHOCO team met with researchers from different Nordic countries to discuss CO2 conversion and how we can improve cross-border collaborations. The meeting was arranged by CHOCO, but hosted by the University of Uppsala. We hope this was the first of many more meetings to come!

New CHOCO Publication!
CHOCO congratulates Janakiram to his publication in Angewandte Chemie:
Open Postdoc position!
Do you want to develop novel catalysts together with us?
We have an open Postdoc position in Organometallic synthesis (2 years, with possibility for extension to 3 years).

Centre of Excellence approved!
Today the NFR announced that the Hylleraas Centre of Excellence has been approved.
CHOCO leader Hopmann is one of 8 PIs at the centre, together with Excellent researchers at UiT (Kenneth Ruud, Luca Frediani, Bjørn Olav Bransdal) and UiO (Michele Cascella, Trygve Helgaker, Thomas Bondo Pedersen, Odile Eisenstein). Together we will develop novel methods in quantum chemistry and apply them to challenging societal problems, including CO2 conversion! See also the UiT news item (in Norwegian).
CHOCO leader in iTromsø
The local newspaper iTromsø interviewed members of the March for Science organization team in Tromsø: http://www.itromso.no/nyheter/2017/03/02/Marsjerer-for-vitenskapen-14379806.ece
The journalist wanted to take our picture in front of the chaos-monument at UiT (street lamps pointing in all sorts of directions). According to him it symbolizes the scientific confusion that we want to clear up.
CHOCO marches for Science
On April 22.4.2017 we will march for Science in Tromsø. There will also be events in Trondheim, Bergen and Oslo.
