We are currently looking for a new and motivated PhD candidate in computational chemistry to join our CUBE3 team. The PhD candidate will be part of our research project “Evolutionary principles of biocatalysts from extreme environments” with a special focus on catalytic activity and stability as described in more detail under WP1 and WP2. The successful candidate will carry out computer simulations of enzymatic reactions using a combination of theoretical techniques. The goal is to unravel the principles involved in evolutionary adaptation to extreme environments and use these to design new biocatalyst. This will be achieved in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners.
