Our research drives innovations

  • Machine learning for health analytics by mining electronic health records [link].
  • Analysis of multimodal earth observation images [media].
  • Credit risk analysis funded by Santander bank [media].
  • Drone-based image object analysis funded by eSmart systems [media].
  • Vegetation climate change analysis in the Arctic tundra (CoatTools)

The group’s research is to a large degree externally funded by the Research Council of Norway (RCN) over FRIPRO, ROMFORSK, IKTPLUSS and by industry via NÆRINGSPHD grants.

We organized the Scandinavian Conference on Image Analysis in Tromsø in June 2017 [SCIA 2017].
