Submission guidelines

Please read the instructions below on how to submit, amend or withdraw an abstract for the Munin Conference on Scholarly Publishing.

Important

  • The deadline for abstract submission is announced at the Munin Conference homepage.
  • The conference language is English.
  • All communications about your abstract will be sent to the email address you used for the submission.

How to submit

Abstracts must be submitted via Septentrio Conference Series, used by the Munin conference to publish presentations and posters. In order to submit an abstract, go to the login page to create a profile – remember to tick off the Author role.

The journal sections that may be chosen for the Munin conference in Septentrio Conference Series are Presentations and Posters. When you are prompted to upload a submission file, upload a text file with a copy of your abstract, and proceed to enter the metadata for the submission.

Authors and affiliations:

  • Enter authors (with affiliations) in the order you wish them to appear in the programme.
  • All authors must have an ORCID.
  • Provide a short bio, 2–3 sentences, for each author.
  • Upload a picture of the presenting author(s) as a supplementary file.

Presentation title:

The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to indicate clearly the theme of the abstract. A tentative title should be updated by October 1, 2018. The title will be used for the final programme.

Abstract:

  • 200–500 words
  • Special symbols and formatting can be used where necessary, but you must make a note on this to make us aware of it.
  • Do not use tables or figures in the abstract.
  • References are not required.

 Keywords:

Please supply 2–5 keywords, separated by semicolons.

Amend or withdraw an abstract

Minor changes in the metadata are allowed until October 1, 2018.

If you want to withdraw an abstract, please contact the Organizing Committee by email to muninconference@ub.uit.no. Please note that this needs to be communicated in writing by the author who originally submitted the abstract. The Organizing Committee will assume that all other authors/presenters have been informed.

Author Notification

  • Authors will receive notification of acceptance/rework or rejection to the email address for the submission. The authors can follow the progress of their abstracts in the submission system.
  • The date for notification will be announced at the conference homepage.
  • Upon receiving notification of acceptance, authors are required to confirm their intent to participate in the conference within two weeks to muninconference@ub.uit.no.
  • Authors who fail to confirm may be withdrawn from the programme at the discretion of the committee.
