In their meeting on March 9, the university board at UiT adopted principles and guidelines for research data management at UiT, effective as of September 1, 2017. The main principle is that research data generated at UiT shall be made openly available, and that UiT researchers have to provide a data management plan at the outset of any research project.
The University Library offers support for both archiving and sharing of research data, and designing data management plans. For more info check our home page or the Getting started page of this blog.
This spring, the University Library offers a variety of courses on research data management. For more information, click here.
