We hope that you have your calendars marked because we are only three weeks away from the Critical Interdisciplinary Conference on Studying Peace from Below — to be held at the Centre for Peace Studies (CPS), University of Tromsø, Tromsø Norway (September 5th-6th, 2019).

We are delighted to inform you that the preliminary program for the Conference has been announced, as well as the titles of the two keynote lectures.

On September 5th, at 16:00 in the Nedre Lysthus Auditorium, Professor Roger Mac Ginty (Durham University, UK) will deliver his keynote entitled: “Bottom-up Peace: Extraordinary Power of so-called Ordinary People”.

On September 6th, at 10:45 in the Nedre Lysthus Auditorium, Professor Swati Parashar will deliver her keynote titled: “Rescuing ‘Local” from its ‘Global’ Enthusiasts: a Postcolonial Reading of ‘Peace from Below’ ”.

Both of the keynote lectures are also open for the public, but as seats are limited we invite you to register here with your name, e-mail address, and institutional affiliation (if applicable).

We look forward to seeing you in Tromsø in September!
