Take a look at the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1CtnHN-KMFBIR98B7G-Qfo7mN-6_k0MbbLznbPS27-gs\/edit?usp=sharing\">equipment overview sheet<\/a> to see if the equipment is available.<br>2. Contact the person responsible for the equipment (Serge or Vince) to discuss training, prioritising, and scheduling.<br>3. After agreeing on booking, contact Joe (<a href=\"mailto:marie-josee.h.halsor@uit.no\">marie-josee.h.halsor@uit.no<\/a>) or Sergey (<a href=\"mailto:sergey.minor@uit.no\">sergey.minor@uit.no<\/a>) to add you to the booking overview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading .anchor-offset {  padding-top: 60px; \/* Adjust this value based on your header height *\/ margin-top: -60px; Same as padding-top }\" id=\"nsd-approval\"><strong id=\"nsd-approval\">Sikt approval<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sikt.no\/en\/home\">Sikt<\/a> is the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research. All projects that involve processing of personal data (names, emails, IP addresses, etc.) at any stage must be approved by Sikt. To apply for approval you need to fill out and submit a <a href=\"https:\/\/sikt.no\/en\/notification-form-personal-data\">notification form<\/a>&nbsp;on Sikt&#8217;s website. Sikt also regulates the <a href=\"https:\/\/sikt.no\/en\/tjenester\/personverntjenester-forskning\/fylle-ut-meldeskjema-personopplysninger\/information-participants-research-projects\">information<\/a> that must be provided to participants in any experiment. If you have a simple experimental design (e.g. a survey, vocabulary test, etc.) consider using <a href=\"https:\/\/nettskjema.no\/\">Nettskjema<\/a>.&nbsp;This is a simple and secure solution developed by the University of Oslo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more complex designs, we recommend the following solutions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We have access to a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jatos.org\/\">JATOS<\/a>&nbsp;server based at UiT and specialised for hosting online experiments. It is currently in test phase, however we have had very positive experience using it for large-scale online studies, including web-based eye-tracking. If you want help setting up your experiment using JATOS please contact <a href=\"https:\/\/en.uit.no\/ansatte\/person?p_document_id=207735\">Serge<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We have a lab subscription to <a href=\"https:\/\/gorilla.sc\/\">Gorilla,<\/a> which combines experimental design functionality and online hosting. If you are an AcqVA researcher and you want to make use of the lab subscription please contact <a href=\"https:\/\/uit.no\/ansatte\/person?p_document_id=311159\">Natalia<\/a>&nbsp;or <a href=\"https:\/\/en.uit.no\/ansatte\/person?p_document_id=207735\">Serge<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong id=\"participants\">Recruiting participants for online experiments<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/prolific.co\/\">Prolific<\/a> is a platform for recruiting participants for online surveys and experiments that adheres to the European privacy and data protection regulations (GDPR). The pool of participants is primarily English-speaking, but not exclusively. It can be used in combination with both JATOS (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jatos.org\/Use-Prolific.html\">instructions<\/a>) and Gorilla (see instructions <a href=\"https:\/\/researcher-help.prolific.co\/hc\/en-gb\/articles\/360009223973-Gorilla-integration-guide\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/support.gorilla.sc\/support\/reference\/faq\/recruitment#prolific\">here<\/a>). UiT <a href=\"https:\/\/en.uit.no\/research\/research-dataportal\/art?p_document_id=729174\">recommends<\/a>&nbsp;SharePoint for storing research data and OneDrive for personal storage (all the data on OneDrive is automatically deleted when a person leaves the institution). More information can be obtained at UiT&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.uit.no\/research\/research-dataportal\">Research Data Portal.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong id=\"analysis\">Data analysis<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most of the researchers in the lab use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.r-project.org\/\">R<\/a> for data analysis. <a href=\"https:\/\/universitetetitromso.sharepoint.com\/:f:\/s\/O365-AcqVALab\/EkNjoSGQ7E9GlApdqhzXx2ABiitUqxQ8e8nb-Ol2vSPhiw?e=pbdSi0\">Here<\/a> you can access video recordings of Bodo Winter&#8217;s course on Statistical Modeling for Linguists focusing on (generalized) linear models (taught at UiT, June 2021), and <a href=\"https:\/\/osf.io\/xprq7\/\">here<\/a> you will find all the materials for the course. Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.re3data.org\/\">here<\/a> for a registry of data repositories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also use the AcqVA Aurora Collection (<a href=\"https:\/\/dataverse.no\/dataverse\/acqva\">https:\/\/dataverse.no\/dataverse\/acqva<\/a>) in <a href=\"https:\/\/dataverse.no\/dataverse\/trolling\">TROLLing<\/a>&nbsp;(The Troms\u00f8 Repository of Language and Linguistics), which is a specialized repository for linguistic data.
