Serge Minor<\/a><\/strong> is lab Director of Acqva Lab and Senior Researcher (Forsker II<\/em>) at the Department of Language and Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serge’s research interests lie in the domain of semantic and syntactic processing, multilingualism, and language acquisition. He has broad expertise in the application of statistical methods to the analysis of psycholinguistic data (offline judgements, eye tracking, EEG), with a particular interest in resampling methods and Bayesian data analysis. He also has a keen interest in emerging web-based research methodologies, such as webcam-based eye-tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Serge has a background in theoretical semantics and syntax and semantic processing, and has worked on topics related to the processing and grammar of verbal aspect, quantification, number and person features, and control constructions.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Natalia Mitrofanova<\/strong><\/a> is one of the PIs of Acqva Lab and an Associate Professor (F\u00f8rsteamanuensis<\/em>) at the Department of Language and Culture.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natalia\u2019s work has focused on language acquisition and processing by monolingual and multilingual children and adults. She has expertise in a variety of experimental paradigms ranging from acceptability judgements and elicited production tasks to online Visual World eye-tracking experiments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natalia has worked on Russian, Norwegian, English, German and Spanish (in different combinations), and the following linguistic phenomena: locative utterances, grammatical gender, morphological case, verbal aspect, and word order. She is interested in conducting research on the crossroads of theoretical linguistics, language acquisition and psycholinguistics.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Marie-Jos\u00e9e “Joe” H. Hals\u00f8r<\/a><\/strong> is the adviser for C-LaBL. She supports the lab by handling administrative tasks, event organization<\/span> and communication. She has a PhD in Molecular Biology from UiT (2019) and worked previously as project manager at the Department of Chemistry, mainly for the ITN CO2PERATE<\/a> and the Nordic University Hub NordCO2<\/a> (2020-2024).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The AcqVA Lab collaborates and shares digital resources with the Language Technology and Data Analysis Laboratory (LADAL)<\/a> in the School of Languages and Cultures<\/a> at the University of Queensland<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
