The students seem to be more motivated to communicate in Sami language after common activities connected to traditional Sami knowledge. Outdoor education and participating in cultural practices in the surrounding environment give students many opportunities to use different senses as well as socioaffected strategies in their learning. Establishing areas for language learning activities in the local community, deliver a winwin situation for all participants: students, teachers and traditional knowledge carriers.
