Summer School in Algebraic Statistics

Program

During the summer chool, we schedule  four mini courses of 4 hours each plus exercises. We also encourage participants to contribute with talks about their own research.

Mini courses

Mini courses will be given by

Kaie Kubjas (Aalto University): Algebraic methods for maximum likelihood estimation. Slides Kaie

Fatemeh Mohammadi (University of Bristol): Algebra and geometry of conditional independence statements and probabilistic graphical models.

Carlos Amendola (Technische Universität München): Signature Tensors. Slides Carlos

Sonja Petrovic (Illinois Institute of Technology): The role of algebraic statistics in estimation and modeling of random graphs and networks.
