Marte Jenssen is doing her PhD at Marbio, which is an analytical platform for natural products. She is working in Work Package 1 in the DigiBiotics consortium aiming at discovering promising natural products with antimicrobial properties produced by Arctic marine microorganisms. Marte did her bachelor in biotechnology and her master’s degree in marine biotechnology, both from UiT – The Arctic University of Norway. She will be working with cultivation of marine microorganisms, isolation of natural products and genome mining of promising organisms.»
