Dr. Stephen Eglen, from the University of Cambridge,\u00a0will\u00a0present:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cHow (and why) to work as an open scientist in the 21st century<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The term “open science” is gaining in popularity, yet what does it mean?<\/em><\/p>\n

In this talk I will describe what I think the term means, and will outline my personal reasons for why I think open science is sensible.<\/em><\/p>\n

I will also talk about the related issue of reproducibility in science.<\/em><\/p>\n

In the second part of the talk I will then give some practical suggestions for adopting open science practices.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Although the seminar is designed with PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows in mind, it is open to all!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
