Amidst vineyards in an all-time hottest summer, he has an easy time convincing the locals that the Arctic has a role to play in keeping Earth&#8217;s climate balanced. Most have a harder time imagining the existence of a vast amount of biodiversity of organisms inside sea ice brine channels &#8211; when all that usually makes it to the media is polar bears and seals.
