Partners and participants

The Art VAPO project will be led by Geir Davidsen, Assistant professor in music performance at the Music Conservatory, UiT – The arctic university of Norway, in collaboration with Hilde Synnøve Blix, Professor in music pedagogy and ear training at the Music Conservatory, UiT – The arctic university of Norway, and Amund Sjølie Sveen, freelance performance artist, Tromsø/Oslo. The project includes staff and students from UiT and the partner institutions FINN, Norditng, and the SIU-project UArctic World Ensemble.

The project will have academic, administrative, and technical support from The Faculty of Fine art. Davidsen is the leader of the research group ARcTic Sustain, and will ensure the projects continuity in the artistic research environment at the institution. The Music Conservatory will provide relevant workshop and seminar locations and the needed administration of arenas for performances. The leader of the UArctic World Ensemble is also a staff member at the Music Concervatory.
