Gordon Research Conferences are a group of prestigious international scientific conferences covering frontier research in a range of topics. CAGE is one of the contributors for the 2016 conference on natural gas hydrate systems to be held in Galveston, Texas.

Gordon Research Conferences have been held since 1931, and have expanded to almost 200 conferences per year. Conference locations are chosen partly for their scenic and often isolated nature, to encourage an informal community atmosphere. Discussions are “off-record” to encourage free exchanges, often of unpublished research.
Gordon Research Conference on Natural Gas Hydrate Systems will be held in Galveston, Texas from February 28 to March 4, 2016. CAGE is one of the contributors to the conference, along side National Science Foundation and Carnegie Institution for Science.
The aim of the conference is to link the latest advances in fundamental gas hydrate research to a myriad of current research issues of scientific, economic and societal relevance.
The focus will be set on interfacial attributes of gas hydrates, and the next-generation tools used to probe them. This will be done in the context of recent advances in conventional and alternative energy, sensor and monitoring technologies, microbiology and system ecology, rock mechanics, slope stability and climate issues.
The registration for the conference is now open and applications must be submitted by January 31, 2016. Please apply early, as some meetings become oversubscribed (full) before this deadline.
