After discovering new hot spots for methane release and collecting nice new data set, we are now ready to go home. On the transit to Tromsø, it is time to clean all the labs, tidy up our equipment, and prepare the list of what goes where once on land. It is also the perfect moment, when everybody is up, to take the inevitable group picture. We called our cruise “the first COVID cruise”, and the picture illustrates it well.
I take the advantage of this post to thank all the crew members that did an amazing job recovering the lander (I think 25min is a record) without any hiccups despite strong winds, the engineers Truls and Stormer, and of course the scientific team for their quick reactions and good company!
Till next time!
