Adele Westgård, PhD Candidate
Adele is a PhD Candidate in the Pleistocene to Present: Methane, Ocean Acidification and CO2 research group.
Adele Westgård started her PhD at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway in May 2021. Her main research interests are past ocean and climate variability at high latitudes based on foraminifera, geochemistry and sedimentology. During her PhD project she will be developing methods that can be used to reconstruct freshwater dynamics at high latitudes during warmer-than-present climates and applying those methods to sedimentary records from the Arctic Ocean and Nordic Seas. She is working with the project ARCLIM: The Arctic Ocean under Warm Climates.
Adele holds a BSc in Geology (2018) and MSc in Earth Sciences (2020) from The University of Melbourne, Australia.
