Here&#8217;s a recap of (relatively) recent news:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>CASTL was prominent on the program of the 2011 edition of the annual conference of the <em>Deutsche Gesellschaft f<em>\u00fcr Sprachwissenschaft<\/em><\/em>, which took place in G\u00f6ttingen. On the program were\u00a0CASTL senior researcher <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hum.uit.no\/a\/westergaard\">Marit Westergaard<\/a> with colleague Anita\u00a0R\u00f8reng (<em>Word order and scrambling in double object constructions in German<\/em>), researcher\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hum.uit.no\/a\/vangsnes\">\u00d8ystein Vangsnes<\/a> (<em>Rolling up the North Germanic noun phrase<\/em>) and postdoc <a href=\"http:\/\/castl.uit.no\/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&amp;task=userProfile&amp;user=94&amp;Itemid=119\">Kristine Bentzen<\/a> (<em>Introduction to object shift<\/em>), as well as PhD students <a href=\"http:\/\/castl.uit.no\/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&amp;task=userProfile&amp;user=154&amp;Itemid=118\">Alexander Pfaff <\/a>(<em>Position Matters, not Form!<\/em>) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hum.uit.no\/a\/sundaresan\">Sandhya Sundaresan<\/a> (<em>Monstrous agreement, de se attitudes, anaphora: evidence from Tamil<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Congratulations also to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hum.uit.no\/a\/vangsnes\">\u00d8ystein Vangsnes<\/a> and CASTL affiliate\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hum.uit.no\/lajanda\/\">Laura Janda<\/a>, who have been nominated to receive the University&#8217;s annual prizes for popularization and outstanding research for 2011.
