{"id":773,"date":"2019-03-14T11:25:38","date_gmt":"2019-03-14T10:25:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.uit.no\/castl\/?p=773"},"modified":"2019-03-14T11:26:46","modified_gmt":"2019-03-14T10:26:46","slug":"strong-representation-by-castl-at-glow-in-oslo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.uit.no\/castl\/2019\/03\/14\/strong-representation-by-castl-at-glow-in-oslo\/","title":{"rendered":"Strong representation by CASTL at GLOW in Oslo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The program for <a href=\"https:\/\/glowlinguistics.org\/42\/\">GLOW 42<\/a> (Oslo, May 7-11) is out, and CASTL is well represented!<\/p>\n<p>On the main program, there\u2019s a talk by Michal Starke together with CASTL alumnus Pavel Caha along with Karen de Clercq and Guido Vanden Wyngaerd, entitled \u2018How to be positive\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, there are posters by Martin Kr\u00e4mer together with Chris Golston (\u2018Diphthongs as microfeet: Deriving a typological asymmetry\u2019) and Serge Minor and Natalia Mitrofanova (\u2018A competition-based account of locative modification in Russian\u2019). Maybe we\u2019ll be hearing practice runs for those here soon?<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, CASTL alumna Sandhya Sundaresan and former CASTL colleague Thomas McFadden have a poster together with Hedde Zeijlstra (\u2018Deriving selective opacity in adjuncts\u2019). Our colleague from long ago, Anders Holmberg, has a poster with Murdhy Alshamari (\u2018Topic particles, agreement and movement in an Arabic dialect\u2019).<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to all of the above on having their abstracts accepted.
