We are fortunate to be able to close off the month with the thesis defence of Maud Westendorp.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Maud will hold a trial lecture entitled\u00a0“The syntax of imperatives in the Scandinavian languages” at 10.15 on March 30th and defend her thesis\u00a0\u201cThe distribution of main and embedded structures: V2 and non-V2 orders in North Germanic\u201d starting at 11.15.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Both events will be held in\u00a0SVHUM E-0101. Audience members\u00a0 wishing to follow the defence online can do so via the following\u00a0link.<\/a><\/p>\n

Maud has been supervised by Bj\u00f6rn Lundquist<\/a> and \u00d8ystein Vangsnes.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Her committee consists of\u00a0professor Caroline Heycock (<\/strong>University of Edinburgh) and\u00a0Sten Vikner (<\/strong>Aarhus Universitet) as well as\u00a0\u00a0professor Peter Svenonius (<\/strong>UiT Norges arktiske universitet). The ceremony will be led by\u00a0professor Linda Nesby.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A workshop<\/a> (March 31st) and an invited talk<\/a> by prof. Sten Vikner (April 1st) have been arranged in connection to the defence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
