The goal of this by-invitation-only event is to bring together inter-disciplinary researchers and practitioners primarily related to the Corpore Sano Centre to discuss the current state of the art, emerging requirements, challenges and trends, as well as novel solutions, implementations, and potential deployments. More specifically, we intend to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bring stakeholders from medicine, sport science, nutritional sciences, and computer science together to get a better understanding of the full range of requirements, capabilities, and constraints.<\/li>\n<li>Compare and contrast recent advances from a user perspective and to identify promising directions for further research, deployment and real-world validation.<\/li>\n<li>Discuss the current state of technology and to identify important technical and non-technical hurdles for future full-scale deployments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To facilitate technical and inter-disciplinary discussions, we have organized the workshop <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corporesano.no\/events\/personal-data-systems-workshop-2016\/pds-workshop-programme\/\">programme<\/a> in two main sessions. The first session is organized around concrete application domains. Each presentation of an applied domain will include: (1) Domain overview and motivation for quantified data; (2) Relevant state-of the art domain specific applications and research methods; (3) Open (technical relevant) issues and bold wish list for quantification data and analytics that might impact and improve said domain. Each presentation will be followed by ample time for questions and discussions.<\/p>\n<p>The second session is more technically focused.\u00a0 The idea is to get state-of the art presentations of relevant subjects and technologies that will provide a foundation for in-depth discussions on future directions of our work.\u00a0 The ambitious goal is to identify novel research problems and initial systems to develop to address challenges and domain specific requirements from the first session.<\/p>\n<p><em>The workshop will not publish proceedings: The goal is to openly share and summarize progress and insights among the participants.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This workshop will provide a high-quality forum for scientists and researchers to present and discuss their latest research findings and open problems in this rapidly changing field.
