Creative\/community engagement outputs<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

UK (WP 5)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Collage installation: we ran a series of four arts-based research workshops between November and December 2021 with residents in Great Yarmouth (the East of England case study for WP5). These participatory workshops used collage to collaboratively explore meanings of heritage and fishing amongst residents in the borough, by sharing sentiments, perspectives, memories, and experiences through the process of selecting and composing the material and form of the artwork, as well as through continuous discussions with the researchers. For this work we collaborated with several local organisations and institutions: (1) Original Projects (https:\/\/originalprojects.co.uk\/<\/a>) and Out There Arts – https:\/\/outtherearts.org.uk\/<\/a>) \u2013 local artist-led charities; (2) a local collage artist \u2013 Pushkin (https:\/\/www.pushkinism.com\/work<\/a>), who co-led two of the workshops, as well as the installation of the final artwork; and (3) the Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth life. The final art installation was exhibited locally in PrimeYarc (the local exhibition space that hosted the workshops), Lloyds Bank window (as part of Historic England’s Heritage Action Zone Window) and in the Time and Tide Museum. The exhibition is moving to the University of East Anglia in January 2023, where a wider engagement event is planned for its opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
