UiT ligger i Troms\u00f8, mer enn 300 km nord for polarsirkelen. Vi gir ogs\u00e5 informasjon om utdanning innen geofarer ved instituttet, <a href=\"https:\/\/uit.no\/enhet\/ig\">Institutt for geovitenskap<\/a>. Bloggen er vekselsvis\u00a0 skrevet p\u00e5 engelsk og norsk.<\/p>\n<p>Fjell i farta! is Norwegian and translates to Mountains in motion! The blog serves to communicate interesting research about landslides and natural hazards at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. <a href=\"https:\/\/uit.no\/startsida\">UiT<\/a> is located in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Troms%C3%B8\">Troms\u00f8<\/a>, more than 300 km north of the Arctic Circle. We also provide information about geohazards education in our institute- the <a href=\"https:\/\/uit.no\/enhet\/ig\">Department of Geosciences<\/a>. The blog is written in a mix of Norwegian and English.<\/p>\n<h3>Who are the editors?<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10\" style=\"width: 233px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10\" src=\"https:\/\/site.uit.no\/fjellifarta\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/467\/2021\/02\/IMG_4869-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"311\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uit.no\/ansatte\/person?p_document_id=516285\">Louise<\/a> is a researcher specialising in rock slope failure. She researchers large unstable mountains, and loves to hike and ski. She comes from New Zealand and has lived in Troms\u00f8 since 2017. In recent years Louise has\u00a0been working with the department on strategically building up the geohazards activities. He is fascinated by nature and loves being outdoors in the mountains.
