The meet­ing will take place in the Tech­nol­o­gy build­ing (Teknologibygget, TB)  and in the Phar­masy Build­ing (Far­ma­si­bygget, PB) on the main Uni­ver­si­ty Cam­pus. The Tech­nol­gy build­ing is the home of the Depart­ment of Physics and Tech­nol­gy and the Depart­ment of Engi­neer­ing and Safe­ty. It is the most recent build­ing on cam­pus and we trans­ferred here dur­ing fall 2014. The Phar­masy build­ing is in close vicin­i­ty to TB and is also one of the most recent build­ings on cam­pus. We are using their Audi­to­ri­um Tablet­ten (The Pill), room F 1.101, and out­side the audi­to­ri­um there is a nice area for posters and cof­fee breaks.

The par­al­lel ses­sions Mon­day will take place in TB Audi­to­ri­ums at 2nd and 1st floors, and the ple­nary ses­sions will take place in the PB Audi­to­ri­um Tabletten.

Lunch will be served in the can­ti­na in Teorifags­bygget 1. You can get an overview impres­sion of the dif­fer­ent loca­tions from this overview, or  search the map. Zoom into the build­ings and find room num­bers too. The num­ber bar at the low­er left side of the win­dow takes you to the dif­fer­ent floors.

GETTING THERE AND AWAY

By air: Both Nor­we­gian Air­lines and SAS oper­ate Trom­sø from Gar­der­moen (Oslo). From Trom­sø Air­port, you may take a taxi to the city cen­ter or to the UiT Cam­pus. Both rides take about 10 min­utes and cost ca NOK 200,-. The Air­port Express Coach is also an option, see more infor­ma­tion on Trom­sø Air­port website.

By land: Trains run as far as Bodø (NSB through Nor­way) or as far as Narvik (SJ through Swe­den). From Bodø you may con­tin­ue by plane, fer­ry or bus to Trom­sø, while from Narvik bus­es are the bet­ter option. See Vis­it Trom­sø for more infor­ma­tion and time schedules.
By car you fol­low E6 north or south until you hit E8 at Nord­kjos­botn, Troms.
From there it is about one hour to dri­ve to the Trom­sø city. To reach the UiT cam­pus you can cross the bridge and fol­low the road imme­di­ate­ly to the right. Pass three round­abouts and go left uphills in the fourth. Take left again past the GREEN build­ing (Forskn­ingsparken) and go straight uphills until you find the guest park­ing lots on your left. To pay the park­ing, there is only ONE automat on the entire cam­pus, close to the roofed bike park­ing. By sea: If mak­ing a scenic hol­i­day of your jour­ney here, please con­sid­er the Coastal Steam­er which runs from Bergen to Kirkenes and back again. Ships call on Trom­sø twice a day, one north­bound and one southbound.

GETTING AROUND

The Trom­sø city cen­ter is ca 7 km from the UiT Cam­pus. Bus­es run reg­u­lar­ly and take about 7 min­utes. For infor­ma­tion on sched­ules and tick­ets, please see Trom­sko­rtet
