Hosted by the Faculty of Military Science at Stellenbosch University, this summer school offers a unique blend of academic rigour and cultural exchange designed to provide participants with cutting-edge insights and practical knowledge in security studies.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Message to Incoming UiT Students and Staff:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><cite>A very warm welcome to our summer school at Stellenbosch University (Faculty of Military Science)! We are thrilled that our program has captured your interest and we value your participation. It is a pleasure to welcome our colleagues from the UiT The Arctic University of Norway. We hope and expect that the Stellenbosch University Faculty of Military Science Summer School (SU-FMS-SS) will provide a fruitful knowledge experience as well as a new nodal point for future social and academic networking. Interaction among students and staff is essential for any academic community to thrive, and we want the SU-FMS-SS to give you a memorable experience, enrich your expertise, and make you feel at home throughout your stay.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>SU colleagues developed a challenging and stimulating programme and offered academic support throughout, ensuring that all participants make the most of this incredible opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Highlights: August 2-11, 2024<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-ast-global-color-1-color\">Teaching and Seminars:<\/mark><\/strong> Students will have a chance to with leading experts in the fields of strategic and cyber security through intensive lectures and interactive seminars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-ast-global-color-1-color\">Student Groupwork:<\/mark><\/strong> Participants will collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds on challenging projects that simulate real-world security scenarios.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-ast-global-color-1-color\"><strong>Cultural Exchange Program:<\/strong> <\/mark>There will be a chance to experience South African culture through various activities and excursions, fostering cross-cultural understanding and camaraderie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are excited to send 10 students and 3 staff members from UiT.
