Writing a PhD benefits from competencies outside of your specific study, such as being aware of current academic norms, knowing how to retrieve, evaluate, and treat sources, and open access publishing, as well as how to handle scientific research data according to best practice.This course runs every semester and is designed by the UiT library for PhD students in their first year, for students from all fields of study.
You have to read through reading material and other preparatory tasks made available on Canvas before course start.
The course is organized as interactive sessions over 5 days combining theory, plenary discussions, group activities, and individual practice.
Written home exam (1000 -1500 words) at the end of the course.
