Monitoring and Control of CCU processes (leader J. M. Bjørndalen, IFI, NT)
The PhD will build distributed monitoring systems and provide a real-time overview of CCU processes. Automated control of algae growth and chemical synthesis will require robust algorithms that can handle partial sensor and actuator failures. Analytics and machine learning will be part of the entire system. WP2 will build on expertise in the monitoring project COAT (Tools and Distributed Arctic Observatories) and on data from Diatom-based CO2 conversion, Havmiljødata and Chemical conversion of CO2.
