Stina Torjesen

STINA

Stina Torjesen holds a DPhil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and has studied transitions from war to peace in Tajikistan and Afghanistan. Dr Torjesen has undertaken lengthy field work in both locations and written on broader issues such as stratification and inequality in post-war reconstruction phases and as well as more sharpened themes such as the proliferation of small arms and light weapons in Tajikistan and reintegration of ex-combatants in Afghanistan. Dr Torjesen worked previously for UNDP Kazakhstan and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and is currently affiliated with the University of Agder and Centre for Peace Studies at the University of Tromsø.
