{"id":603,"date":"2023-12-11T12:17:27","date_gmt":"2023-12-11T11:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.uit.no\/kvinnehelse\/?page_id=603"},"modified":"2023-12-11T12:17:29","modified_gmt":"2023-12-11T11:17:29","slug":"project-vybino","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/site.uit.no\/kvinnehelse\/project-vybino\/","title":{"rendered":"Project VYBINO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" style=\"font-style:italic;font-weight:400\">\n<p>Why do many of us find with food and body image, whilst others never give it a second thought?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What role does our own body image play in how sensitive we are to the physical sensations in our bodies?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What&#8217;s it like to be in <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">your<\/span> body, and how does it relate to what you see in the mirror? <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><br>These questions inspired researchers at UiT \u2013 The Arctic University of Norway and Northumbria University to come together to create the research Project <strong>VYBINO<\/strong> &#8211; <strong><em>V<\/em><\/strong><em>iewing <\/em><strong><em>Y<\/em><\/strong><em>our <\/em><strong><em>B<\/em><\/strong><em>ody from the <\/em><strong><em>In<\/em><\/strong><em>side and <\/em><strong><em>O<\/em><\/strong><em>ut<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">As the name implies, we research the relationships between:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-list\">\n<li>How we feel about our own body<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How we see our body in the mirror<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our mood and wellbeing <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How well we notice and listen to the signals our bodies send us (our interoceptive awareness or &laquo;inner sense&raquo;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In other words, we investigate how you view yourself from the <strong>inside <\/strong>(how you feel about your body + inner sense + mental health) <strong>and<\/strong> <strong>out<\/strong> (How you see yourself in the mirror).&nbsp;This is because we want to better understand body image in those of us with and without body image issues and eating disorders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This is why we are excited to invite Norwegian-speaking women over the age of 16 to participate in our very first VYBINO survey online.
