WP-3: Development of specialized biocatalysts

Objectives: Enzyme targets will be selected from efficient microbes identified in WP2 by functional and in silico screening. Promising enzymes will be recombinantly produced and evaluated based on potential for selective and specific biomass conversion. Subsequent activity tests will define needs for design and redesign of desired properties in WP4.
