Registration deadline is 11 November. Note that for hotel booking via the registration form there is an earlier deadline (12th or 20th October, depending on the hotel, see below).
There will be no registration for those who choose to follow the conference online (only the plenary sessions of the conference will be streamed). Stream links will be posted on the conference website the week before the conference.
Note for workshop organisers: Do not register for the workshop you will be running. The registration form for workshops is set to a maximum number of attendees (excluding the organisers). Some workshops have bigger contributor teams associated with the workshop abstract – if you are one of the organiser team, but plan to attend the workshop as regular participant, then you can register for your workshop.
Workshop participation: To participate in a workshop, you need to choose which workshops you want to participate in during your conference registration. You cannot go back at some later point of time to reserve a seat at a workshop. Remember the number of seats at the workshops is limited!
Conference fees
For all in-person participants, including presenters, the following registration fees apply (incl VAT, to be paid by credit card):
- 3 days – NOK 2600
- 2 days – NOK 1900
- 1 day – NOK 1200
The fees include lunch and tea/coffee breaks. The fee for the conference dinner on the 27th of November (see Participant guide for details) is NOK 850. The conference reception on the 26th of November is free – financed by this year’s sponsors.
Waivers
Participants from low income and middle income countries (as categorized by the World Bank) can apply for a waiver that will include the conference fee and conference dinner. Waivers will be administered on a first come first served basis and the amount of waivers will largely depend on the amount of sponsor contributions the conference gets. Waiver applications must be sent to muninconference at ub.uit.no on 1 November at the latest. In your application, please include information about yourself and your motivation to visit the conference.
There will generally not be waivers available for presenters of presentations, workshops, panels or posters.
UiT participants
If you are an employee/student of UiT The Arctic University of Norway, you will be able to attend the plenary sessions for free, without registration. However, if you want lunch/coffee and if you want to be guaranteed a place in a workshop, you need to register – ordinary conference fees apply.
There is also a possibility for UiT-affiliated participants to sign up for a waiting list for workshops and/or to help out during the conference. We will contact the waiting list registrants after the registration for paying participants has closed (11 November), and inform them whether they have got a seat in a workshop. To register for the waiting list and/or register as a volunteer, use this form.
Hotel booking
When registering for the conference, you will also be able to book a hotel in the same registration form, at a conference rate. Nights available at the conference rate are in the period between 25th and 29th of November. Prices are incl. VAT, per night, breakfast included:
- Smarthotel, single room – NOK 1545
- Scandic Ishavshotell, single room – NOK 2400, double room – NOK 2700
- Clarion Hotel The Edge, single room – NOK 3190, double room – NOK 3390
Hotel booking via the conference registration form will only be available until 20 October (12 October for Clarion).
