Dominanten oppl\u00f8ses skuffende til treklangen p\u00e5 oversekunden, derfra kommer neste kvartforbindelse. Typisk vil sekvensen omfatte tre sekvensledd og dermed ende p\u00e5 tonika.<\/p>\n<p>Navnet er hentet fra J\u00f8rgen Jersild: Dur- og moll-harmonikkens sekvens-m\u00f8nstre. Tre eksempler, Bach-preludiet, Schubert-sonaten og Corelli- konserten, er hentet fra dette arbeid.
