WHO AM I:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I am a computational chemist at the Department of Chemistry<\/a>, University of Troms\u00f8 (UiT<\/a>), Norway. I have been working at UiT since 2008. I am originally from Germany but have studied in Denmark (BSc. degree) and in Sweden (PhD degree). I am fluent in Norwegian (spiked with some Danish words).<\/p>\n

My research<\/strong> area focuses on application of computational methods to analyse catalytic processes. For more information, see my group\u00a0homepage <\/a>and my publications<\/a>.<\/p>\n

TEACHING<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n

I am involved in teaching at different levels:
\nMSc\/PhD level:
\nKJE-3102<\/a>: <\/strong>Computational Chemistry (MSc\/PhD course, 10 ECTS). Responsible for content (co-developed all exercises) and teaching of lectures and seminars (ca 10%) during 2009-2019<\/em>.<\/em>
\nNordCO2<\/sub> course<\/a><\/strong>: Mechanisms of CO2<\/sub> activation (MSc\/PhD course, 4 ECTS). Responsible for organization, development of content (20%), teaching (20%) and exam (50%) during fall 2018.<\/em>
\nKJE-3001<\/a>:<\/strong> From quantum mechanics to medicine (MSc course, 10 ECTS). Responsible for 1 lecture and 1 seminar<\/em> and correction of reports during fall 2018, Responsible for development and teaching (1 lecture and 1 seminar) of new interdisciplinary teaching exercise in organic\/computational chemistry Fall 2019 and 2020.<\/em>
\n<\/span>BioCat course C5<\/a>: <\/strong>Enzyme mechanisms (PhD course, 4 ECTS). Responsible for organization, development of course content (~60%), teaching (~60%) and exam (100%) during fall 2017.<\/em>
\nFSK-8002<\/a>: <\/strong>Scientific writing (PhD course, 3 ECTS). Responsible for 2 seminars and correction of student reports during fall 2016.
\n<\/em><\/span>Python programming for beginners<\/u><\/a><\/strong>: Responsible for planning and organization during fall 2018.
\n<\/em><\/span><\/span>Scientific writing for PhD students (PhD school in Chemistry):<\/strong><\/span> Responsible for 1 lecture and associated course material during fall 2019.
\n<\/em>CO2perate course:<\/strong>\u00a0Responsible Research and Innovation.<\/span><\/span> Responsible for organization of 3 day course, including preparation of course material during fall 2020.

BSc level:<\/strong><\/span>
\nKJE-1001<\/a>:<\/strong> Introduction to chemistry and chemical biology (BSc course, 10 ECTS<\/span>). Responsible for 4 lectures and ca 10 seminars during fall 2014.
\n<\/em>KJE-1002: <\/strong><\/span>Organic chemistry (BSC. course, 10 ECTS). Seminar teacher & preparation of material, spring 2019. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Courses for teachers:
\n<\/strong>KJE-6004:<\/strong> Physical and inorganic chemistry for teachers (15 ECTS). Responsible for organization, content (50%), teaching (50%) and exam (50%) during 2013-2014 and 2018. <\/em><\/span>
