Arron N. Honniball

Dr Arron N Honniball is a Research Fellow in the Ocean Law and Policy team at the Centre for International Law (CIL), National University of Singapore. He is also Co-Editor of, a blog on events and developments in the law of the sea.

Prior to joining CIL he completed his doctoral research at Utrecht University as a member of UNIJURIS and the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea, defending in March 2019 his PhD entitled ‘Extraterritorial Port State Measures: The basis and limits of unilateral port state jurisdiction to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing’. Arron previously obtained his Bachelor of Laws at University College London and Master of Laws in public international law at Utrecht University.
