The NordCO2 consortium is expanding and has rescently included several Associated PIs from the Nordic Countries. Firstly, we welcome Martin Prechtl who recently joined Roskilde University in Denmark as NordCO2 Associated PI. Read more about Martin here.
MSCA grant to NordForsk researcher
NordForsk-funded researcher Torstein Fjermestad (UiO, Norway) received a prestigious Horizon 2020 MSCA postdoc grant for his project EMPaTHY (Use of multiscale modElling to Minimize coke ProducTion during the methanol-to- HYdrocarbon process) at Polytecnico di Milano. We wish Torstein all the best in his future research endevaours!
Open PhD position at Stockholm University
PhD in Prof. Belén Martín-Matute´s Group
PhD student position in “Organometallic Synthesis and Catalysis: New Methods to Make Carbon-Carbon and Carbon-Heteroatom Bonds”
Description: We will design and synthesize homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts based on transition metals and organocatalysts that will be employed for the construction of carbon-carbon and carbon-heteroatom bonds selectively. The PhD studies will be carried out within two multidisciplinary projects aiming at developing new catalysts for the use of CO2 as a 1C synthon in organic chemistry. Synthesis, analytical characterization and application of hybrid organic/inorganic materials will be carried out.
Applicants with a background either in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry are welcome to apply.
