Walter Ricciardi<\/strong>, MD, Hon PhD, is a full Professor of Hygiene and Director of the School of Public Health of the Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Rome). He is the President of the Mission Board for Cancer of the European Commission and of the European Mission Board of Vaccination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Frode Forland<\/strong> is a Scientific Director at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. He previously served as Policy Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is recently back from 2,5 years in Addis Ababa serving as a seconded Senior Advisor to Africa CDC in the areas of Evidence, Health Security and NCDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Forland has more than 30 years of working- and leadership experience in the field of Public Health and Infectious Diseases. He has led several organizations at the national and international level on Public Health and Primary Health Care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Forland has been a lead for three WHO Joint External Evaluations on Health Security. He is a Scientific Board Member of the Global Health Unit of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) in Germany, the Health Information Systems Program (HISP) at the University of Oslo, he was a Board Member of Gavi (the Vaccine Alliance) and the Pandemic Fund, and was the Norwegian Advisory Forum Member to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) for six years. During the COVID-19 pandemic he was part of the leadership group of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), and he was frequently used as a spokesperson in the media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He holds an MD from the University of Oslo with a specialty in Public Health and General Practice. He previously worked as an Associate Professor in Public Health at the University of Troms\u00f8. He has more than 25 years of experience in Evidence Synthesis and application of Evidence Based Methods for Public Health. He has published widely in areas related to use of Evidence, Public Health, and Global Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Anton Potteg\u00e5rd<\/strong>, PhD, is a professor of pharmacoepidemiology at the University of Southern Denmark, leading the pharmacoepi research group currently counting around 50 people. He is doing applied pharmacoepi within many different disease areas, with a particular focus on building infrastructure and best practice, in particular on transparency and reproducibility, around use of secondary health data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Unnur Anna Valdimarsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong>, PhD, is a professor of epidemiology and dean of the School of Health Sciences at the University of Iceland. Her research is focused on the complex links between psychological trauma, psychiatric disorders and somatic diseases and her team leverage various Nordic register-cohort-biobank resources and family designs to make advances in this area with support from e.g. the European Research Council (StressGene) and NordForsk (COVIDMENT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Yu-Han Chiu<\/strong>, MD, ScD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Brown University School of Public Health. Her research focuses on developing and applying novel causal inference methods\u2014such as target trial emulation and methods for transportability\u2014to improve decision-making in pregnancy and cardiovascular health. She is a recipient of the NIH Maximizing Investigators\u2019 Research Award. Dr. Chiu received her MD from National Taiwan University and her ScD in Epidemiology and Nutrition from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
