\"\"<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Getting there and away<\/strong><\/p>\n

The venue for Norske historiedager is UiT, the Arctic Univeristy of Noway, Campus Troms\u00f8. The hosts are the UiT historians, whose department is in Breiviklia\u00a0(House 14)<\/a>\u00a0The conference, however, will take place at AUD 1<\/em> and Solhallen<\/em> i the lower floor of the\u00a0Teorifagshus 1<\/a>. <\/strong>For the paralell sessions, there are\u00a0lecture rooms in the same building.<\/p>\n

The airport lies west of Campus, a ca 10 minutes ride by taxi. Also from the airport, the Airport Express<\/strong><\/a> runs both to Campus (albeit rarely) and to the City centre, where it stops by the major hotels. The UiT Campus is 5 km from the City centre, again only a 10 minutes ride by taxi or bus. For overview of bus schedules, please consult the timetables<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Line 20, 21 og 33\/34 runs between the City centre and Campus, where the bus will halt by\u00a0House 24 and House 23<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Registration and accommodation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The deadline for submission of panel(paper\/poster was\u00a0June 15th 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

The deadline for registering for the conference was\u00a0August 1st 2021<\/strong>. The conference fee is NOK 1600,- An invoice will be sent to your stated invoice address (fakturaadresse<\/em>). If in need to cancel the registration, please do so by email<\/a>. NB!<\/strong> Please note that after the deadline August 1st, the conference fee is non-refundable.<\/p>\n

Troms\u00f8 has a wide range of accommodation options. Normally, these are filled with tourists, but covid-19 has effectively done away with that – at least for a while. In any case, we advice to book accommodation as soon as possible. We have reserved a number of rooms at a few key hotels, please see the menu page\u00a0Overnatting<\/a>. In order to book these rooms, you need the reference codes stated in the receipt you get when registering for the conference (or contact the organizers by email<\/a>). Notably, participants are of course free to book independently according to their own preferences.<\/p>\n

The conference offers a pre-excursion at Trondenes\/Harstad (NOK 500,-) on Thursday September 2. Please note that participants will have to organize their own travel accordingly. All lecture rooms are equipped with PC and projector, with the option of connecting a memorystick or your own computer.<\/p>\n
