About NorStruct


NorStruct

NorStruct was established in 2003 by the national FUnctional GEnomics initiative (FUGE) as the Norwegian Structural Biology Center, providing research collaboration services in biochemistry and biophysics, with a particular focus on structural analysis of biological macromolecules. Located in the SIVA Research Park adjacent to the campus of UiT. Norstruct’s core expertise ranges from recombinant bacterial expression through 3D structure determination and analysis. In addition to basic structural reseach, activities include a host of applied research projects, including drug discovery and industrial enzymes.

Norstruct is part of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, UiT The Arctic University of Tromsø
