As a part of the Department of Physics and Technology at the University of Troms\u00f8 we are organising the Norwegian Electro-Optics meeting in Henningsv\u00e6r, Lofoten 2-4 of May 2018.<\/p>\n

The Norwegian Electro-Optics Meeting is the main Norwegian forum for scientific and technical optics, uniting basic research, innovation and industry applications. The presentations will include invited talks by leading international scientists and presentation of new projects and products from Norwegian companies. Young researchers and PhD-students will be given priority for oral presentations, while all participants are invited to present posters. New for this edition are short presentations giving an overview of the main Norwegian research groups in optics.<\/p>\n

It is a tradition to have the meeting at historic hotels in scenic fjords on the coast of Norway. This time, the concept is taken one step further: To the very scenic fishing village of Henningsv\u00e6r in Lofoten. The village is situated on several small islands, has 444 inhabitants and is frequently visited by tourists and climbers.<\/p>\n
