The current Open Polar database includes more than 1.7 million records after the filtration process,\u00a0from\u00a0more than\u00a0270\u00a0million\u00a0available\u00a0records collected from 4600\u00a0content\u00a0providers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>In this process, we\u00a0have to\u00a0admit\u00a0that a small\u00a0number\u00a0of\u00a0irrelevant records make it into\u00a0Open Polar,\u00a0due to the large number of the pre-filtration records.<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>We keep working\u00a0to improve the quality of\u00a0the\u00a0Open Polar\u00a0database.\u00a0<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>You can use the feedback button that appears with each record to send us feedback\u00a0if you find\u00a0the record\u00a0to be\u00a0irrelevant.\u00a0We\u00a0will\u00a0then\u00a0remove it\u00a0from Open Polar\u00a0after a review process.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why can I find some irrelevant articles\/datasets\/contributions (i.e., not related to Polar regions) when I perform a search?\u00a0\/ How can I report irrelevant records?\u00a0 Open Polar uses machine learning algorithms to\u00a0extract\u00a0only polar-related\u00a0records\u00a0based on more than 11,000 keywords.
