Det er f\u00f8rst og fremst viktig at klienten<span>\u00a0 <\/span>f\u00e5r komme til<span>\u00a0 <\/span>orde og med egne ord engasjerer seg i eget endringsprosess. R\u00e5dgiveren lokker frem klientens egne argumenter og grunner til endring og arbeider med \u00e5 holde<span>\u00a0<\/span>fokus slik at klienten kan reflektere<span>\u00a0<\/span>videre og dypere i sine tanker og f\u00f8lelser om endringen. Til slutt hjelper r\u00e5dgiveren med \u00e5 legge en plan som klienten mener er hensiktsmessig for sin endring.
