Aghogho Akpome<\/strong><\/p>\n Aghogho teaches in the Department of English at the University of Zululand, South Africa. He obtained a BA Hons degree in English and worked in the media, as a school teacher and lecturer in Nigeria before moving to South Africa where he got a doctorate from the University of Johannesburg (UJ). Aghogho has taught English literary studies and academic literacies at UJ and the University of the Witwatersrand also in Johannesburg. He was a research fellow at the Centre for Africa Studies at the University of the Free State from 2013-2016 and has been a visiting scholar at the Centre of Postcolonial and Gender Studies, University of Naples L\u2019Orientale, Naples, Italy and the Institute of English Language and Literature, Free University Berlin, Germany. He has published several articles and book reviews and presented his research in many conferences. He recently contributed a chapter on ethnicity in post-2000 African fiction in\u00a0Routledge Handbook on African Literature\u00a0<\/em>(2019). His intellectual and research interests include postcolonialism, narratives of identity\/difference, nation and narration, literary historicisation, representation, literary theory\/criticism, Nigerian and South African literatures, African studies, migration, discourse analysis, cultural criticism and academic literacies.
