RESCAPE was established in 2017 and refers to both a research method as well as the long-lasting academic and artistic collaboration between Janke Klok, Lena Haselmann, and Lilli Mittner who are all committed to interdisciplinary arts-based research. The acronym R-E-S-C-A-P-E  stands for Research \u2013 Education \u2013 Sources \u2013 Creativity \u2013 Arts \u2013 Performances \u2013 Engagement.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

January 25th: Invitation by Grieg Begegnungsst\u00e4tte<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RESCAPE was invited by the Grieg Begegnungsst\u00e4tte<\/a> to bring Agathe Backer Gr\u00f8ndahl and Edvard Grieg together in novel ways. They will compile a sett of 43 letters, music, biographies, pictures and other materials to provide insight into the creative processes and important networks of 19. century artists in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

January 24th: A Coffee in Berlin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the initiator of Exploring academic practices is Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Stephanie von Schnurbein one of the early inspirators of the RESCAPE method, that startet in 2017. At 24. January  2026 RESCAPE met her in a cosy caf\u00e9 in Berlin Kreuzberg to re-conect and share ongoing and future work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

January 22th- 23th: Writing Laboratory in Melchow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the beautiful evironment of Melchow, a small village in the county of Brandenburg, north of Berlin, RESCAPE met in person to think, write and create together. The team met 22th to 23th of January to work with archival materials, music, pictures and other sources that give insight into artistic practices, complex relationships and cultural transfer in past, present and future The results will be presented at the Grieg Begegnungsst\u00e4tte<\/em> in Leipzig the 25th of January. Everyone is welcome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

October 2025: International Conference on Feminist Philosophies and Methods<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RESCAPE presents a paper at the International Conference on Feminist Philosophies and Methods<\/a> at the Department of Philosophy and First Semester Studies at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, 23th od October 2025. The talk addresses basic questions such as how to direct our attention through words, images and performances to what is not yet known? How to change the lighting in (historical) narratives about women and men, art and science, humans and nature, and other binaries? <\/p>\n<\/div>

RESCAPE film (2024)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Translating written collage into a film collage is challenging and fun. Upon invitation from Silje Gaupseth at the Polar museum, RESCAPE created a conversation between Wanny Woldstad, Christiane Ritter and Cora Sandel. Together with RESULT we are making a film.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Voices of Women in the Arctic and beyond (2023)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
