Students will learn about the German attack on Norway, the occupation regime, everyday life and the minorities in the North. Focus is also on the last year of German occupation with the forced evacuation of Finnmark and Nord-Troms, and the Soviet liberation of Eastern Finnmark in October 1944.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Week 7<\/strong><\/p>\n February 10 (Monday)<\/strong><\/p>\n 12:15-14:00, C-1006<\/strong><\/p>\n Kari Aga Myklebost<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(Professor, Department of Archaeology, History, Religious Studies and Theology)<\/p>\n Lecture: \u201cMemories of the War and the Liberation in the North in Norway and Russia<\/strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Summary: The lecture will shed light on how the war and the liberation in the North is portrayed in history books and remembered among ordinary people of Norway and Russia. The content and meaning of the joint Norwegian-Russian commemorations of the liberation from the 1950s and up until today will also be discussed.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n February 13 (Thursday)<\/strong><\/p>\n 13:15-14:00, C-1007<\/strong><\/p>\n Elena Bj\u00f8rgve<\/a>, Guro Reis\u00e6ter<\/a>, <\/em>and Svetlana Sokolova<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(Department of Language and Culture)<\/p>\n Brainstorming seminar<\/p>\n Summary: The brainstorming seminar will be an informal meeting with tea and snacks, where the project participants will get to know each other better. TODAY IN THE MURMANSK DIRECTION\u2026 is composed of seven stories that explore questions of particular interest in the context of the High North. It is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of the war in the Arctic, with particular attention to the Petsamo-Kirkenes operation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n February 20 (Thursday)<\/strong><\/p>\n 08:15-10:00, E-0103<\/strong><\/p>\n Fredrik\u00a0Mortensen<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(Research Technician, MediaLab)<\/p>\n Lecture: \u201cHvordan lager man film?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u00a0 I mai 2020 skal vi markere at det er 75 \u00e5r siden andre verdenskrig var slutt. Krigen satte veldig dype spor b\u00e5de i russisk og nord-norsk historie og preger de moderne samfunnene i Norge og Russland i ulik grad ogs\u00e5 i dag. Gjennom hele prosjektet vil studentene m\u00e5tte \u00f8ve og praktisere begge spr\u00e5kene. Russiske studenter som studerer norsk skal forberede og gjennomf\u00f8re samtaler og intervjuer p\u00e5 norsk med mennesker fra forskjellige aldersgrupper i Troms\u00f8, og norske studenter som studerer russisk, skal dra til i\u00a0Arkhangelsk\u00a0i Russland og der gjennomf\u00f8re samme type intervjuer p\u00e5 russisk.<\/p>\n Resultatet av prosjektet blir en film hvor studentene ogs\u00e5 m\u00e5 jobbe med oversettelse samt \u00e5 skrive filmteksting p\u00e5 det spr\u00e5ket de l\u00e6rer. I tillegg skal vi organisere seminarer hvor russiske og norske professorer i historie foreleser om temaet andre verdenskrig i nord, sett fra ulike perspektiv.
