Alena Subzow
Project Assistant, Norway
Alena Subzow gained her BA degree in Slavic and Scandinavian studies at the University of Greifswald, Germany. She took her MA degree in Language Diversity, focusing on Slavic languages such as Russian and Ukrainian. In her MA thesis she discussed Russian verbs of motion in their metaphorical and metonymical uses and the challenges they pose in second language acquisition, with a particular focus on German native speakers and Russian heritage speakers in Germany. As a project assistant for Hybrid STEP, she contributes to data annotation and analysis.
