Welcome to the first vodcast in the «Arctic Youth and friends» series. In this series, Arctic Youth has dialogues with international researchers centred around the theme, «Interdisciplinary research with children and youth». The vodcast series is held in English and will feature new episodes with international guests that visit the centre. Mónica ayala-Mira

Professor, Autonomous University of Baja California, Mexico

Mónica completed her Doctorate in Psychology with a specialisation in Social Psychology from the University of
Guanajuato. Her research interests include social psychology and gender, with a focus on the construction of masculinities and femininities, gender-based violence, migration, and collective memory. She has contributed to two recent books edited by Rita Sørly (Arctic Youth leader): «Learning through Social Work Stories-that-Matter» and «Fortelling og forskning»
