February 28th 2023 was our official final day as a Centre of Excellence funded by The Norwegian Research Council.

The Centre for Arctic Gas Hydrate, Environment and Climate (CAGE) was active between 2013-2023 and was hosted by the Department of Geosciences at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

It has been a very exciting decade with a lot of excellent science and discoveries, as we investigated the role of gas hydrates for the Arctic environment and climate. To ensure our legacy, the CAGE annual and cruise reports, along with our database, are openly available and can be accessed by all globally. You will find some information on how you can access these reports and the database by visiting the ‘Where are our reports archived?‘ and ‘Where is our data stored?‘ pages.

We would like to finish by saying a big thank you to all of our staff, collaborators, and friends, for all of your hard work and dedication that has truly contributed to the success of CAGE.
