CAGE, Centre for Arctic Gas Hydrate, Environment and Climate

Sunny Singhroha

He is studying different geological controls that affect the distribution of gas hydrates and fluid flow in marine sediments. His research interests include gas hydrates, seismic attenuation, seismic velocity modeling, full-waveform inversion, rock physics, and EM prospecting. He is mainly working on high-resolution P-cable seismic data and multicomponent seismic data.

He received his PhD (2019) from UiT The Arctic University of Norway. He did a B.S. (Hons) and an M.S. (2013) under the five years integrated program in exploration geophysics from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. He also worked as a geophysicist in Essar Oil Ltd.
