CAGE, Centre for Arctic Gas Hydrate, Environment and Climate

Thomas Chalk

Tom is a post doctoral researcher at CAGE in the WP6: Pleistocene to Present: Methane, Ocean Acidification and CO2 work group since September 2021.

His research is concentrated on improving our understanding of ocean-climate links, in particular the interplay of ocean circulation with atmospheric carbon dioxide. He is now using this expertise to investigate the Arctic Ocean under warmer climates of the past.

Tom received his PhD from the National Oceanography Centre Southampton in 2015, and has previously worked at Woods Hole Oceanography Institution (WHOI, USA) and Oxford University (UK).
